Bob has indicated that sometime down the road he would like to continue his travels. A thought came to me the other day concerning the safety issues on the back roads of America.
Often when you see runners or cyclist traveling through a community, they are escorted by vehicles, front & back. I think our friend Bob has such a following that this could be arranged for his next adventure. This would be much like you see when house trailers are being moved. Since he travels 8 - 12 hours a day and anywhere from 10 - 25 miles, it might take a couple of shifts each day, but I'd be willing to bet that we could find enough interested people in this country to make sure his next trip is a safe one.
Any thoughts?

While this might not be possible everywhere and all the time, I think it is a good idea. It would certainly cut down the odds of bad things happening. Maybe even some walkie-talkies for Bob and the "security crew" to use for communication.

Been thinking along the same lines,4horses 5dogs. I know if he comes thru Mo I would take my turn gladly being a flag car. Also, maybe they could put highway signs out on the road he is traveling for that day like they do for highway work. Like watch out for Bob and wagon ahead. Also maybe lights on his trailor like fire trucks and etc. If they are legal. He is an inspiration to all of us and helping him live a dream is something we all can do.

my parents used to follow Bob skelding thru his travels shortly before his accident and sometime afterward. I lost track after awhile as per taking care of parents and they started forget things. I'm curious as to how he is and did he get another dog or is he still on the road or what.
