Thank you. I didn't know if his mom and family were aware of this site so they can come on here to post also. The web guy for his site needs to put this on his home page at the top so people will see they can come here to check. It is a lot easier to check here than going through all those pages of names to see if they posted.

I have to wish only the best wishes for Bob, for a speedy and complete recovery. Those of us who were watching him live our own dreams are here for the brother.

Good Morning, I read Bob's sister Cathy's update on his condition. Sounds pretty serious. Have you heard anymore? What about the horses, Doc & Joyce, any updates on them? I hope poor old Clementine is settling down. Maybe her family members can reach her soon.
Pls. keep us posted if you hear anything.
Thanks,
Norma

new post on the guestbook from Bob's mom
DEAR WONDERFUL FRIENDS OF BOB'S GUEST BOOK,
I would so much like to tell you dailey on the progress Bob is making, but to tell the honest truth, im his mom and all i get is 'NO CHANGE, MOTHER." It will take a long time to know exactly what extent of Bob's injuries he has and how all this will affect him. I pray every minute, that he will be whole again soon, but in my heart, i know it will be a long road ahead. BUT HE IS ALIVE, AND WILL PULL THRU THIS, IM SURE. Yes, he is in ICU, and the doctors and nurses are doing everything they can. He is on heavy meds, to keep him quiet and not move, it is vital, that he remains quiet and not move. He has many broken bones that will heal, God willing and probably more than i am aware at this moment. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND PRAY WITH US, THAT IT WILL BE AS PAINLESS AS CAN BE AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY. I know you would like an update everyday, but we just cannot do it at the moment. Like the doctors say every hour, things might change. PLEASE BEAR WITH US. WE SO DO APPRECIATE ALL THE WONDERFUL PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS AND MESSAGES YOU ALL ARE SENDING. YOU KNOW I DO NOT WRITE AS WELL AS BOB, BUT I DO KNOW, HE WANTED EVERYONE TO STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN TO YOUR OWN HEARTS AND FAMILY AND TAKE EACH MINUTE OR HOUR OR DAY FOR WHAT IT IS. I know for me waiting is the hardest, sometimes my imagination can run over me, so i must think postive, please do the same for Bob. THINK POSITIVE, IT WILL BE OUR REWARD, WHEN HE IS WELL. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
BARB SKELDING, MOTHER

I was just reviewing some of Bob's wonderful pictures and noticed that Doc (I believe it's Doc) was on the front right and Joyce was always behind him on the right rear. I wonder if that's why they survived the accident and the Dolly & DeeDee were on the outside and took the brunt of the hit. Although I have never seen anything destroyed as bad as Bob's rig.
Also, the update on Bob's sounds pretty serious, and I'll keep him in my prayers. Just wondering if anyone has heard about the horses and Clementine.

The trucker who stayed with Bob right after the accident posted that Clementine was fine. He called his wife to come get her and take her to the vet. Horses also at vets and reported to be ok.

This is what was in our paper today in Columbus, Ms. about 40 miles from the accident site. www.cdispatch.com. A New Hampshire man whose horse-drawn carriage was struck by an 18-wheeler Tuesday afternoon near the Noxubee-Kemper county line remained in the hospital in serious condition this morning, according to his sister. As far as I know, he is still listed in serious condition, Kathy Sagan, a North Carolina resident, said of her brother, Bob Skelding. You always want to keep a close watch during the first few days, just to make sure his condition doesn't change suddenly or anything As of this morning, the two surviving horses, Doc and Joyce, were in good condition, according to an employee at Dr. William Calvert's veterinary clinic in DeKalb.

Thank ya'll for posting the updates.
Today is the first I've heard of Bob's journey and this horrible wreck. It touches close to home for me, as I was working a wedding one night with a horse and carriage we were rear-ended by a drunk driver. I still bear the scars from it, physically and emotionally.
It just broke my heart when I read about this, this morning. And then seeing the pictures of his wonderful horses and reading all about his journey... I just hope he recovers fully.

New in the guestbook!!
Date: 02/13/2009 Guest: 2 (Reference ID: 1763370) Name: Barbara Skelding Email Address: None Where did you meet or see Bob?: he is my oldest son Comments: Good Morning Everyone. I have just spoken to my daughter, Cathy, Bob's older sister and she tells me the same as yesterday that Bob's condition is stable but serious. NO CHANGE. Again the doctors and nurses are doing everything they possibly can to keep him well and comfortable. you know the old saying, NO NEWS CAN BE GOOD NEWS. Cathy can only see him just certain times of the day and she said to me this morning, that we all have to be grateful that he is alive. I do believe our prayers are being answered. PLEASE JUST HANG IN THERE FOR HIM AND FAMILY.We appreciate all of your support and prayers. She also told me that she has pictures which will be displayed later of the two horses, Doc and Joyce and are being taken care of by Dr. Billy Calvert. Dr. Billy is doing an excellent and marvelous job. She says that Doc has a long laceration to the left hind quarter and Joyce has a smaller laceration to the left hind quarter. Both the Gelding and Mare are doing fine.Clementine is fine also. She wanted me to express what a great and kind and generous man Dr. Billy Calvert is, and how he is talking excellent care of the horses. She also expressed how wonderful the people of the GRAND STATE OF MISSISSIPPI are. I would also like to thank everyone who has said so many many prayers for our family and most of all Bob.He would not be here, I know if it were not for you people in the usa, and around the world. People who Bob doesn't know personally but have touched their lives in some way or another. NO AMOUNT OF WORDS CAN EXPRESS OUR GRADITUDE AND THANKS FOR BEING THERE FOR BOB. I will write again later as soon as i hear more news. thanks again.

I have been following Bob and his awsome trip since he left NH, it has been something I have looked forward too everyday when I got home from work to see where he was ,my heart goes out to him and for Doc and Joyce and Clementine, I also have a miniture poode and I know the Lord was with Bob and God says He would not put anymore on us than what we can stand, I want to Praise The Lord for what He has done, He had a hand in protecting Bob. I think he has given so much to many of us that could not make such a trip, but we have thru Bob. God Bless you and may you get better soon.
