At Christmas Bob talked about a Bible that he'd brought with him that was his Fathers. I hope it was found. You could tell by the way Bob talked of it, that it meant a lot to him.

Just a heads up about Paula Murff, she is a wonderful and caring lady. She used to be the animal control officer with the local police dept. and now I think she works with a animal shelter in another town. She has the biggest heart for her love of animals and humans in need you have ever seen.
If she ever offers to do something, you can sure bet she means every word of it.

Where did you meet or see Bob?: Shuqualak Comments: Hi Bob We were so sorry to hear about your accident and the death of two of your horses. My husband say you yesterday on highway 45 coming into Shuqualak and figured you were on the way to the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson. He started to stop and tell you that we have a place in town that has a grassy pasture where you could let your horses roam for the night, but he was in his 18-wheeler and couldn't get off easily. When he heard about the crash, he was very sad. I drove by the accident site this morning and there were people standing around and it made me sad to think that people may be plundering in the wreckage. This afternoon, I wasn't in as much of a hurry, so I drove by slowly and looked at the wreckage and decided to go get my husband so he could see the site. Since he drives an 18-wheeler and didn't want to pull it off as he drove by. When we went back to the site, he found one of your cards on the side of the road and we went to your website. Since we hear that you are in critical condition, you probably won't read this for a few days, but we want you to know that you are in our prayers. My husband said he wished he just get everything off the side of the road for you and save it until you are able to get it. He has a pickup and we could haul it back to Shuqualak for you. He says that he is going to try to visit you in the hospital to see if you need anything. Again, we are praying for you and if there's anything we can do for you, please call my husband at 601-481-4324 . Janie & Gilbert Gregg

We are all avid horsemen and we so dearly respect and appreciate your love for your beautiful animals and the great outdoors. You may be far from home but please know that people in Kemper County are very loving, free giving and kind people. My husband is the Mayor of the Town where your horses are being taken care of and my family owns plenty of pasture land and have great barn facilities. We are all willing to help you, your family and your two horses in anyway possible. If you or your family needs us please let us know. Where did you meet or see Bob?: following his blog Comments: Bob, Sorry to hear of your tragic accident and loss of 2 beautiful horses. As a horse lover, owner of a Percheron and a veterinarian; this accident really hit home for me. It is my understanding that you lost Dee Dee and Dolly the 2 outside horses. I had prayed it was not one or both of the 2 you had since they were weanlings. Joyce is going to miss half sister Dee Dee greatly. I'm sure you will also. Having experienced a low speed carriage wreck, the single tree broke; and Ruby just layed over in the ditch until we could get the trace chains unhooked and get her out of the ditch I can only imagine what you and your horses went thru. Praying Doc and Joyce are not too traumatized to pull again. Prayers for a speedy recovery for you. I am in Georgia and would be willing to let Doc and Joyce rest up here for awhile. Take Care, Dr. Sara

Date: 02/16/2009 Guest: 2 (Reference ID: 1764134) Name: Mary Alice Kinard Email Address: mkinard@mccmail.mcc.cc.ms.us Where did you meet or see Bob?: havent met bob Comments: Bob, I am still keeping up with your progress. I live in Meridian and I just wanted to let you know that you and your traveling companions are in my thoughts each day. I wish you continued speedy recovery and hope that you are able to continue your journey. I hope that after you finish the journey that you will write a book about your travels. I know that there are many of us out there that would like to read about your dream journey. You should sell enough copies to ensure a great retirement and a wonderful retirement in greener pastures for Joyce and Doc.
From what I can tell, you will be in the hospital for quite some time, and I know that your family will need a break from the hospital from time to time when you are put into a private or semi-private room. I would be happy to sit with you while your family members take time off to tend to things that need tending to. You or your family can contact me through my E-mail address or at home (601) 681-4365.
Thanks to all who helped Bob, Joyce, Doc and Clememtine. A special thanks to Dr. Billy Calvart who is taking care of Joyce and Doc. Thanks to Bob's family for keeping us updated on the recovery of all concerned.
Best wishes Mary Kinard Meridian, MS.

I really like Mike's idea, too. It would be really great to have a wagon waiting for him, but . . . isn't there always a 'but' I think we should wait until we are sure Bob actually want's to continue and to also be sure we know about the modifications he wants to make. I don't know that much about building such a vehicle, but I'll be glad to contribute some funds. . . . just let me know where and when.
Hang in there, Bob, we're rootin' for you from Iowa.

Date: 02/18/2009 Guest: 10 (Reference ID: 1764628) Name: Mary Alice Kinard Email Address: mkinard@mccmail.mcc.cc.ms.us Where did you meet or see Bob?: I've never met Bob Comments: I spoke to my best friend about your accident, and she and her husband have a less than a year old laptop that they said you could have. I am sure that yours was destroyed in the accident. I would be glad to bring it to the hospital to you or one of your family members. I thought that while you were recovering you might want to catch up on the news and read your FAN MAIL. I also thought it might be beneficial to your family while they are staying up at the hospital with you.
I understand from what your mother said in a posting here that you probably do not know that Dolly and Deedee are gone, but I am sure that you asked the trucker (Gene) about your babies when you came to at the scene of the accident. It is possible that maybe you think that they are all gone. God blessed you with the survival of Doc and Joyce. I am so happy that one of the babies you helped raise survived. I know that they all meant alot to you. I am still checking in several times a day for updates.
I wish you and your traveling companions continued speedy recovery, and I have asked that you be put on the Church prayer list. Be strong, many are with you in thought and spirit.
If you or your family would like the laptop, please call (601)-681-4365. I will be happy to bring it up to the hospital.

Cabwolf I don't understand how you could spend several hours with Bob and say that he doesn't care for his horses. You can't read his blog and not know how much he cares for them. let along be with him. You are either so self absorbed that you don't know what is going on in the world around you or just completely clueless.

The best thing to do with a troll like Cabwolf is to ignore him. Most times they will just fade away.
